The group, designed for middle school and high school age young adults, meets monthly to plan local activities for teens of the community.  These programs vary each month and include art, game night, book club, movie night and coffeehouses.  The group also volunteers at the library, lending their support to the library's young children's programs.  If you are interested in volunteering, or just spending time with friends join US.

Grades 6-12   Refreshments will be served.

Tuesdays April 24th, &  May 8th and 15th

5:30-7:00pm

Ages 12+

Practice public speaking, explore creative writing, play with words and dialogue and learn how to tell a compelling story.  Learn strategies to connect to an audience, practice improv techniques and experiment with props.

This four-session workshop is designed to inspire creativity and experience the ancient tradition of sharing a story with an audience.

Megan Houston Sager, facilitator, loves to tell stories.  She is a teacher, writer and mother.  She holds her Master's degree in Education from Smith College and has worked with kids as a writing teacher, on stage and in the classroom.
